RE: Sales Tax 2013 B -Residential Street Improvements

Dear Resident:
The citizens of Coppell approved in November 2007, and reauthorized again in November
2011, the use of 1/40 cent of the sales tax for maintenance of residential streets. A contract
with J. Volk Consulting, Inc. was approved at the August 27, 2013 council meeting for the
design of a project to reconstruct the above referenced street.
Representatives working with the consultant will be in your area soon to begin the preparatory
work necessary for the design of the project. Workers from RDS Surveying, utility locators,
and engineers will gather the data necessary to design the new street, sidewalk and
underground utilities. Their personnel should have identification and be in marked vehicles.
They will stake the surveyed areas with markers to aid in the design work, so please do not
remove the stakes.
Construction on the project is scheduled to begin during the 3rd quarter of 2014, and we will
be contacting residents with more information as the construction phase nears. We are excited
about this opportunity to improve the appearance and surface of this street. If you would like
