Dear Mike:
Attached you will find final plans for Wagon Wheel Park. I have addressed all of the
issues that were brought up during our meeting on October 25th and on the marked
up plans and summarized them below.
Storm Drainage
1. Storm drainage system must not allow pending in parking facilities during 100
year event.
System has been upsized downstream of parking lot inlets to
accommodate 1 O0 year event.
2. Storm drainage mains need manhole access every 1000'.
System complies.
Sanitary Sewer
1. Drop connection is needed for drops of 2'-0" or greater.
Drop connection added at tie-in to existing manhole.
2. 60" manholes are needed for deep cuts.
Several manholes upsized per this set.
3. No structures are to be built over sanitary sewer.
The location of the structure in question is conceptual. It will be moved
during future design stage.

4. Sanitary sewer cleanouts need to be eliminated and manholes called out
accordingly.
Done.
Water
1. The city master plan calls for a 12" water line down State Road. Also, the 8"
water line between the playing fields is unacceptable due to the extent of
paving shown to cover line.
The water layout has been changed significantly. New 12" water line is
designed as requested and is offset 45' from center line of State Road to
allow for future improvements to State Road. Sheet C-10 shows 3 notes
cut-off at the end of the 12" main. This will be addressed by addendum
(see attached 8.5 X 11 plan sheet).
2. Detector checks are needed on fire lines where appropriate.
Called out.
3. Water meter vault needed on 8" water line prior to irrigation water value vault.
6" meter, vault and valves called out on line at tie-in to 12" public
main. This location offers better access for meter reading and
eliminates the need for detector check.
4. Conflicts between water mains and irrigation mains need to be addressed.
Lines will be installed on different planes. See detail on sheet C- 13.
5. "Need to move city supply line out of vault and have a physical air gap that
can be maintained under all conditions."
Done, see sheet C-12, formerly sheet C-IO.
6. What controls 6" automatic value on city water supply line?
Level probes on wet well - see electrical sheets E-11 and E-14.

The department of Leisure Services has scheduled a pre-bid conference for November
8th. We request, if possible, for a cursory review of the plans and call if you foresee any
significant changes. The bid date has been set for November 18th. Please let us know as
soon as your review is complete so that we might be able to incorporate any changes
that might affect the bids into an addendum. Feel free to call if you have any questions
or concerns.
Sincerely,
