Dirk Dalhausser Phillips Swager Associates 12404 Park Central Dr., Suite 240 Dallas, Texas 75251-4459 Dear Dirk, In response to our meeting on Wednesday, August ~0, 1997, I have prepared the following punch list for Fire Station 2 and 3. Fire Stations 2 & 3 General Overview: Texture and Paint All walls, doors, door jams, and ceilings at both sta4ions reveal an enormous amount of scrapes, scratches, dirt, hand prints, chips (specifically on door jams), and over spray and bleed over from texture and paint are visible throughout both facilities. The marks were to numerous to identify individually in this punch list. [ A touch up paint operation which includes sanding of chips on the door jams from ro6m to room will address many of these aesthetic items. Many of the smoke detectors at both stations have exposed square cut holes in the sheetrock for mounting under the base of the units. These hol ~s must be textured and painted to be acceptable. Additionally, several detectors had to b, relocated. The previous mounting sites must be repaired_ Light Fixtures A common problem present at both stations is with he setting of the ceiling flush mounted IX4 florescent light fixtures and several of the roun~ can lights. Many of the fixtures have several common problems. They are as follows: / l. The fixtures are not secured flush ~o the ceiIing, 2. The fixtures have texture and pain~ over spt?y, 3. Exposed holes in the sheet rock, a~d 4. In specific locations noted below, ~xposed sheet rock screws next w the fixtures which have not been covered with texture or paint. I:ILIG-22-1997 16:35 CITY OF COP[DELL Electrical/Phone/Computer Outlets and Switches Many of the plug and switch outlet covers have over spray paint and texture and dirt debris residue remaining on them after cleaning. The out, ets also frequently have areas which require much up paint on the walls around their lo~ation. Exterior and Inter/or to the Bay Aroa Thresholds In many of the doors throughout both stations, the *hresholds do not seal to the door. Fire Protection The fire protection system must be complete at bot] stations. This includcs the placement of all new sprinkler heads, fire extinguishers, warning devices, and inspection. Emergency Generator Back-Up Propane Tanks To be located next to the generators at both stations Not present. (Question to Dirk: Was this a change order or in the bid specifications7 If .not, we need to discuss.) G~eral Cleanliness ~ Many of the return air and inflow vents throughout ~hc facilities are dirty. At the time of cleaning another filter may be required. Additionally, trash is located in several behind appliances (ice machine, stove, etc.), behind the water heater, in the attic, in the planter beds, and other out of the way locations. I The remainder of the items noted will be provided ih facility room by room format. Station 2 Kitchen/Dinning Area I. Cabinet doors over microwave hit the unit whenlopening. 2. Screws exposed on counter top splash next to th~ window. 3. Door to patio will not self close. I 4. Rework texture in the comers of thc middle and Iright pantries. 5. Air vent in bathroom is missing screws. 4. Window seal in office needs to be painted. Day Room 1. Clean electrical outlets on west wall. 2. Touch up paint around IX4 light on north end. Watch Office Area I. Cabinet drawers and doors need adjusting, they ;Io not shut flush with each other. 2. Exposed screw on counter top back splash. 3. Bottom of window glass frame is missing. 4.
