CF-Cozby Library-CS 940520 (2)May 20, 1994 Mr. Jim Bullock F & S Partners, Inc 3535 Travis, Suite #201 Dallas, Texas 75204-1497 RE: W.T. Cozby Public Library Coppell, Texas Dear Mr. Bullock: In accordance with your request and authorization of March 22, 1994, we have reviewed your grading plan (dated January 5, 1994) and a sketch of drainage systems (faxed to our office March 22, 1994) and estimated the pump capacity necessary to keep the water level at collecting pit below elevation 459. Our review of your plans indicates that the bottom of the foundation slab is at elevation 466.58 with select fill immediately underneath the slab extending to elevation 463.12 to 459.79. Also, the 100 year flood elevation is at 463.8. Consequently, part of the select fill could be submerged if heavy rainfall continues for along period of time. In order to keep the water level below the select fill, a pump with capacity of not less that 30 gpm at the drainage pit should be installed. This estimate is based on the assumption that the permeability of the select fill is on the order of 10-4cm/s. Mr. Jim Bullock March 28, 1994 Page Two We trust the above information is sufficient for your use. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
