SUBMITYAL NUMBERING FORMAT
Submittal procedures are described in general in Project Manual Section 01300, however, the following
recommendations for submittal processing will enhance the receiving, tracking and returning of submittals
in a timely fashion.
· In accordance with paragraph I.I.D, submittals without the Contractor's review stamp will be
returned to the Contractor without comment.
· Number each submittal with a sequential transmittal number, the Project Manual Section number
and a sequential number within that Section. For example, the first submittal of the job might be a
concrete mix design, which would be numbered as follows:
01-03300.01
· The second submittal might be structural steel, and would be numbered as follows:
02-05120.01
· Additional submittals within a Section will incremented by one. If the third submittal for the job is
another concrete mix design, it would be identified as follows:
03-03300.02
· Resubmittals can be identified with either an alphabetic suffix or an "R" with a numeric suffix
added to the Section sequence number. The first resubmittal of the first mix design would then be
numbered:
01-03300.01A or 01,03300,01R1
· In all cases, each submittal item must be identified with a unique number written on the submittal
in the vicinity of the Contractor's review stamp.
