Diamond (C900) PVC Pipe (4 through 12)
is made of 12454 compound per ASTM
D1784, in accordance with the dimensional,
chemical, and physical requirements of
AWWA C900.
Diamond (C900) PVC Pipe bears the mark
of NSF, International (NSF), the listing of
Underwriters Laboratory, Inc. (UL), and
(DR14 & DR18) bears the listing of
Factory Mutual(FM).
Diamond (C900) PVC Pipe utilizes a gasket,
per ASTM F477, to seal the integral bell socket
to the spigot of the next joint (which conforms
to the requirements of ASTM D3139.) Each
male end is beveled to facilitate joint assembly,
and the spigot is referenced marked to ensure proper insertion d
in the joining process.
Diamond C900 is supplied in 20 foot laying lengths.

rigorous quality control standards. North American
Pipe’s C-900 pipe utilizes Reiber style gaskets
throughout the entire product offering. North
American Pipe produces a full range of CIOD pipe
in DR-14, DR-18, and DR-25 classifications.
Whether specifying or installing our pipe you can

Short Form Specification
for North American Pipe Corporation
AWWA C-900 Municipal Water Pipe
Water main distribution pipe shall be made in
accordance with AWWA C900 from a compound
conforming to a cell classification of 12454 as
defined by ASTM D1784. Integral bells shall
incorporate gaskets meeting the requirements of
ASTM F477 and be locked into the bell. The
assembled joint shall meet the requirements of
ASTM D3139. The laying length of the pipe shall be
20 feet. The pipe and gasket must be tested and
approved for contact with potable water in
accordance with ANSI/NSF 61. The pipe and
gasket shall be listed by Underwriters Laboratory
and approved by Factory Mutual.

Short Form Specification
for North American Pipe Corporation
ASTM D3034 Gravity Sewer Pipe
PVC gravity sewer pipe shall be made from a
compound conforming to a cell classification of
12454 or 12364 as defined by ASTM D1784 and in
accordance with ASTM D3034 for sizes four inch
through fifteen inch. The wall thickness, when
tested according to ASTM D3412, shall correspond
to a dimension ratio of SDR 35 with a pipe stiffness
value of 46 or SDR26 with a pipe stiffness of 115 for
heavy wall pipe. Integral bells shall incorporate
locked in gaskets meeting the requirements of
ASTM D3212 and F477. The laying length of the
pipe shall be 14 feet.
