Results
On July 15, 1994, a representative of GEE Consultants, Inc. was present at the above referenced fabrication plant to
perform visual inspection of fabricated structural steel:
1. Tube trusses are now in the initial stages of fabrication. A jig has been set up where the pieces are fitted
together and welded.
2. The top and bottom chords because of their length will have to spliced at near mid-point. One of the splice
joints was fitted together and inspected prior to welding. The tube wall had been beveled and backing bars
installed inside with the proper root opening to achieve a full penetration splice weld.
3. There are numerous galvanized channels and angle iron ready to be shipped to job site.
4. Radiused channel iron such as 32B3 are ready to be cut to length and painted.
5. Radiused MW' beams are on hand ready to be cut and painted.
6. Completed shop welds were visually examined for size and appearance.
Our inspection was performed in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
