ARCHITECT'S FIELD REPORT AIA [~,C)CUMI~NT G71'I ARC.. £CT CONSULTANT FIELD City of Coppell - Ed P~'"~ll O'Brien O'Brien Callaw.~ Wayne Ginn, Inc. PROJECT: CONTRACT: Coppell Town Center General Construction FIELD REPORT NO: Ten (10) ARCHITECT'S PROJECT NO: 8457 DATE 1/17/86 TIME 3:45 WEATHER TEMP. RANGE High 50° ' s EST. % OF COMPLETION CONFORMANCE WITH SCHEDULE (+, -) WORK IN PROGRESS PRESENT AT SITE 1. The median cut at the nort'h side of the site in the street is excavated down to a depth of 8 inches. The City has requested the Contractor to pour 10 inches of concrete in lieu of lime stabalization · The Contractor is waiting for the two 3 inch PVC sleeves to be extended that will house electrical line for the light poles. 2. The drive approach is ready to be poured in the next few days~ which would finish up the concrete pouring on the site. 3. The mineral fiber roofing is being put on at this time. 4. Interior gyp board work has begun with six (6) stacks of gyp board palates 26" high over some major trusses just west of grid line 9 and another truss west of the atrium area. (3 stacks per truss). The roof where the mineral fiber shingles are goin~ on right now at the northeast corner of the building seems to have a warp in the roof surface caused by a channel framing member being up too high. Superintendent did say he felt that he could correct this by shimming procedures. 6. The metal wall panels at the penthouse area, about 50% complete and all of the roof deck has been put on. Once the metal panels are completed then the roofing will be continued. 7. The roof deck has been buckled in a number of areas, and prior to the rigid insulation being put on needs to be corrected so that the rigid insulation will not buckle once the roof is applied. $. A ~mber of metal studs have been bent throughout the project and need to be replaced prior to any gyp board being put on. 9. The masonry work appears to be about 65% complete. A number of gyp sheathing boards have been put on and the brick work is at the point where it could be covered up very soon. The Contractor must be sure that all the gyp sheathing goes full height as shown on the drawings and is attached at the very top around the cornus. The project is behind schedule, the Contractor should reply as to how they intend to make up some of their lost time. Some remedial brick work needs to be done on the east face of the building where the control joints do not line up. The Contractor has stated that he will be doing this. The mineral fiber roofing shingles are being placed on the job; however, a note that I must stress is that the gutters must be cut in a straight line, some minor irregularities have been spotted, but it is very important the gutters where the shingles are being trirm~ed have very straight lines. ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN: Sleeving must be completed prior to pouring of a median concrete. The roof should have no irregular planes on it, and irregular surfaces should be removed or corrected.
