Curious to know the timing of proposed sale?  Is the property under contract?  Are they in option period now?  Anticipated close date? Perhaps those issues are only divulged on a “need to know” basis. Subject: RE: Callejo Property Michael, At this time, I can only tell you that the property is in the process of being sold. The attorneys appear to be preparing the paperwork. I received your last email, with attachments on the proposed roadway and the only difference between the first one you sent me and the latest one, regards a slight vertical change in the roadway profile. Can you confirm for me if this is accurate? 1 At this time, the Callejo’s, and consultants to the Callejo’s are not able to provide you with any kind of response regarding whether the roadway alignment as the city is proposing is acceptable or not. It is the Callejos’ intent to allow the new owner to complete the negotiations with the city. Normally, I would evaluate what you have sent, check to see if it’s acceptable, and respond to you with comments. BUT I am presently not authorized to do this. Regarding the roadway, I understand that the city is under a particular time line to use existing and approved funds to construct the roadway, could you please enlighten us and inform us as to this schedule and/or date. It would be beneficial to the those that have been copied on this email, since they are the ones processing the paperwork. I believe it is in everybody’s best interest to have the city use existing funds to construct the roadway and to lose these funds would be disastrous to the city, to traffic, value of the property and the new property owners.
