SCADA System Repo~s
De~ Mr. Griffin:
We have now reviewed several days of repo~ data accumulated from the SCADA System and sent to us by
your Water Utilities Dep~ent. We have comp~ed the repo~ dam for October 5th, 6~ 9th, 10~, & 11~. It
is our understanding there is no dam available for Oaober 7th or 8~ app~ently due to user e~or.
~e repo~ data we reviewed appe~s to generally match the SCADA System statistics print out in all
categories. The only app~ent inconect info~ation on the repo~s we found was ~e total Dallas Inflow for
on October 9, 1997. The repo~ indicated 0.00 mg flow ~om Dallas on October 9~. G.E. Team Comrols has
explahed this dam e~or may be due to the user the e~or experience on October 7~ and 8th.
As a reminder, we comp~ed ~e following info~ation ~om ~e repo~s back to the SC~A System
Statistics:
1. Number of Pump St~s for Village Parkway Pump Station, and S~dy L~e Road Li~ Station
2. Pump Run Time for Village P~kway Pump Station and S~dy Lake Road Li~ Station
3. Total Ci~ of Dallas Inflow
4. Total Diseh~ge Flow for Village P~kway Pump and Sandy Lake Road Li~ Station
We were not able to make a direct comp~ison of ~e t~ levels ~d wet well levels back to the SCADA
System Statistics screen; however, we reviewed the repo~ data for ~ese categories fo~d the levels to appe~
reasonable. In addition, until ~e Deforest Road Li~ Station is ~lly operational, we are not able to con~
the accuracy of the SCADA repo~ dam for that site.

At this point, it appears the SCADA System is functioning as intended. It is our understanding, with the
exception of the user error recorded on October 7th and 8th, reliable system operation has been observed
since Sunday, October 5, 1997. If the City of Coppell concurs with this observation, we recommend the
SCADA System be accepted as complete and in service as of October 5, 1997, and that Change Order No. 6
be executed which will deduct $2,500 ($500 per day x 5 days) from the total SCADA portion of the contract.
Once Change Order No. 6 is fully executed by both parties, at the direction of the City of Coppell we will
issue a letter of final acceptance to the contractor.
