1. Confirmation of the Alex Canal contract amendment #I was received on September 14Th. This
amendment expanded the scope to include the portion of canal from Parkway Blvd., north to
the Central Lake spillway.
2. Survey is scheduled this week for the northern Alex Canal segment.
3. TNP received confirmation of the City's preferred wall block type on September 19Th. The
block selected is the DiamondPro® Stone Cut Combo (3 pc.) by PavestoneT". TNP is currently
updating and finalizing the preliminary design plans with the new wall block, and combining
the Alex Canal portion of the project. The current plan is to incorporate the additional survey
prior to submitting the preliminary design. However, if survey is delayed the preliminary
design will be submitted no later than Friday, October 26Th, and the survey will be
supplemented with TNRIS LIDAR data.
4. The City has indicated that the primary target for the project is for construction to be complete
in time for July 4Th activities. TNP estimates approximately four (4) months for construction,
meaning a contract should be awarded by mid to late February. If the schedule below is a
concern we may be able to expedite the design completion date by replacing the 90%
submittal with a coordination meeting, and moving straight to final design.
