I just spoke to Alan Starling and he is going to bring samples to John’s office tomorrow. Regarding the other two items:
1)Lead time – usually within 2 weeks, sometimes sooner. Color should not delay the turn-around.
2)Base pad compaction – 95% percent compaction is needed, as we have it specified. High moisture needs to be
either dried out or removed and replaced. However, the wall is expected to shift slightly with the soil, and the
structural backfill does a good job of holding the wall together.
