Keith,
Should I scale them back to the low 40’s and resend?

Carl,
I think you’re right about the number of tests being high for the backfill. We may need several on the front end to
ensure we start off right, but once we are seeing a consistent mix, we will be able to cut back. It looks like you estimated
236 trips, which is probably more than we’ll need for the 150 day contract.
I think if we cut this down to the low 40’s we’ll be more realistic. This will allow me to get the approval of the City
Manager rather than needing to go to City Council anyway.
Our inspector will be the one contacting you to set up inspections. His name is Albert Samaniego, and he can be
reached at 469-576-1458. He will also need to be on the report distribution list.
The contractor is JDK Associates, Steve Kenney is the president, and they can be reached at 940-686-6236.

Keith,
Our testing proposal is attached above.
I think that perhaps the testing frequency may need to be revisited as the total cost seams a little too high for the nature
of this project. If the concern about the strength of the cement stabilized aggregate wall backfill material is not too
important, then perhaps that may be the place to cut some out as it generated the biggest cost item.
I’m sorry that I did not inquire about the contractor during the meeting Wednesday but who is the contractor? Do you
have their contact info? How about their superintendent’s name and cell number.
Based on my understanding at our meeting, the City will be scheduling us. Would that be John Elias? If so, does he have
a cell phone number? It was not on his card.
On our report distribution I know to copy you, John, Kyle with TNP, and the contractor. would there be anyone else?
One last question; did I understand correctly that work was to start next week?
Please let me know,
Thanks.
