Keith,
Please read the underlined portion of this email and have a look at the PDF attached. We need to discuss easements or
lack of easements. I'll call you to explain in more detail.
John
Brad -John,
Trails Master Plan
Just wanted to give you an update on the Trails Masterplan. We have had meetings with the City of Irving on
conncetioning to the Campion Trail.
The Irving City Manager has asked the Parks Department to complete the last 14 miles of the Campion Trail within the
next three years. This means the trail will extend into Sam Houtson Park and run unto the top of the levee into a
residential neighborhood and make a connection to Cimmaron Park. This will place the trail within 1400' of the south
side of Coppell.
Today I meet with Scott Whitker from the City of Carrollton. Carrollton is focused on connecting there east side of town
to the new DART rail line and have placed any trails on the west of town on the back burner.
Currently they have a regional trail proposed on the east side of the Elm Fork Branch of the Trinity that runs through
there regional park at Sandy Lake Road. Scott said it would be 5 to 10 years before this trail is constructed. This trail
would parrellal the Campion trail south of Betl Line Road so Carrollton may want to partner with you and Irving to one
day make this connection.
Lewisville has asked that we corridinate with Lenny Hughs at Hallff Associates and have placed 2 calls into them asking
for a meeting.
I have not heard from The Town of Flower Mound and Doug Evans with Grapevine is out until next week. I hope to have
all these meetings completed within the 7 days.
We have attached a new graphic that shows the following:

If possible I would like to schedule a meeting next week or the following so Jeff or James can sit down with Keith Marvin
(Engineering
Department) and confirm if we need easements to help make this plan real.
I also have attached an outline for the workshop on April 2nd, please review and lets talk this week if you feel this is the
correct direction.
Creekview - Bethel Trail
Would like to schedule a time next Thursday or Friday to review the conceptual layout of the trail. Please let me know
when you are open.
Regards,
Mark
