MEMORANDUM
To: G.E. Team Controls, Inc.
North Texas Muncipal Construction Co., Inc.
Ma Cast, City of Coppel
L,~Davis, City of Copp
From: Gary C. Henriticks, P.E.
Date: September 19, 1997
City of Coppell
Subject: Village Parkway Pump Station
SCADA System Walk-through
A walk-through of the Village Parkway Pump Station, SCADA System was conducted on September 11,
1997. In attendance were:
Matt Cast, City of Coppell
Larry Davis, City of Coppell
Steve Baker, G.E. Team Controls
Gary blendricks, Shimek, Jacobs & Finklea, L.L.P.
The following items were found to be in need of additional work or correction:
1. Additional training for the supervisory level staff is still incomplete
2. The text on the ground storage and elevated storage tanks becomes illegible as the water surface drops
(text and background are same color)
3. We still have not seen the report spreadsheets (neither format, printout nor on screen)
4. Steve Baker indicated he would get Coppell a revised schedule of values for the SCADA System which
includes the new computer and associated software ( He has delivered this as of the publishing of this
memo).
5. The pump set points screen does not appear to properly interrupt the pump sequence as expected. We
were not able to ei'ther turn on or off a pump that was not currently in the rotation
6- We are continuing to have problems with the IMPACC software and the data received from the IQ's. As
of the publishing date of this memo, G.E. Team Controls has requested tlmt they be allowed to approach
this problem from a new angle. This request is documented in a letter from Team dated September 17,
1997. A formal response is expected from Coppeli next week; however, we have discussed this with both
Ken Griffin and Man Cast and offer no objections.
As a reminder, the yet to be forrealized agreement with NTMCC provided that all aspects of the project be
completed to the City's satisfaction by September 30, 1997.
