Subject:Policy No. 1194 - Violence Prevention
Under the mandatory reporting section of the referenced policy, I am letting you know of a discussion I had today with a
Mr. Walker of 232 Mockingbird Lane. A contractor working on a city project to repair the alley leading to Mr. Walker's
home blocked the alley to remove and replace the concrete. Mr Walker indicates that both ends of the alley were
closed thereby preventing him from leaving his home for a period of 5 days. I do not believe this to be the case, but my
response to him was that it should not have happened, and that we were sorry for the inconvenience. The call lasted
several minutes, and at one point in the call he stated that if it happed again he was going to shoot someone. I told him
he did not want to say that, and his response was that it was a "figure of speech".
I did not feel the statement was an immediate threat. Albert Samaniego was with Mr. Walker when he made the
statement.
I am available to discuss this further if necessary.
