Ridgecrest-CS130129 Rhonda Adloo From:Colin Helffrich <chelffrich@daa-civil.com> Sent:Tuesday, January 29, 2013 2:38 PM To:Michael Garza; Keith Marvin Subject:Ridgecrest Estates Gentlemen, I received a call from my contractor saying we needed to add concrete cap on the storm sewer that is not deeper than 30” (per Larry Davis), that means about 160 LF of pipe needs capping. Keith, I know when the revisions came through in late December you mentioned that a couple spots would need capping (approx. 20-30 LF) but not the entire storm line. If we went by the 30” Larry is requiring us to use, our old plans would still have needed this concrete cap and there was never a hint about this. Also, Larry is wanting us to increase the slope of STM-02 to 1.00%....I am not sure why this is? This will only decrease the amount of cover we have. The proposed 0.62% is more than adequate to flush out the drainage picked up in this storm system. Please give me a call asap, as we are installing pipe right now and do not want to lose time. Thank you. Colin W. Helffrich, P.E.
