Villas at LV-CS130118 Rhonda Adloo From:Casey Ross <cross@daa-civil.com> Sent:Friday, January 18, 2013 9:59 AM To:Keith Marvin Subject:Villas at Lake Vista FIRM Attachments:FM48121C0705E[1].pdf.pdf; FM48121C0705G.pdf.pdf Keith, On April 11, 2011, FEMA updated their FIRMs for Denton County. The levee on the south side of Villas at Lake Vista moved on the map. Attached are two PDFs, one showing where the levee was in 1997 and one showing where it is now represented. We know that the levee has not moved to the north. Unfortunately some of the existing homeowners in Phase One are now being asked to purchase flood insurance. I spoke with the local Denton FEMA office regarding our situation and asked if they can begin a FEMA initiated LOMR to correct the location of the levee on the current FIRM. The gentlemen I spoke with is Ron Wanhanen (940-383-7334). He then spoke with Ben Kaiser (301-820-3230) with FEMA headquarters in Maryland. Ben needs the floodplain administrator of Coppell to call him so he can give direction on what is needed for the FEMA initiated LOMR. Please give him a call at your earliest convenience so we can get the process started. We will provide whatever assistance is needed.
