We can forward the inquiries to the contractor as a courtesy. We need to document our file on every

David,
We have a contractor that closed out a contract with us back in June. At close out he
supplied an affidavit of final payment and various lien release documents. Over the
last few months we have received various phone calls and letters indicating that this
contractor still owes money for subcontractors and suppliers related to this project.
Our approach has been to supply copies of the payment bond to these folks and direct
them to address their issue with them. Is there anything else we can, or should do to
help remedy this situation?

We continue to get calls and correspondence from subs who are still

owed money from CPS, and now they (CPS) are out of business
apparently. Their CEO presented an Affidavit of Final Payment and it

looks like we paid them a final payment in June. The folks who are still
owed money will file claims against the surety who issued the payment
bond I suppose, is that how it goes?
FYI, North Texas Bomanite is the most recent claimant.
