Mike,
Im trying to understand why the contract amount and the inspection fee amount do not add up. Our Finance
department has asked the questions. Even though there is a portion that is being built for the City, im not sure which
one you are referring to, there still needs to be an inspection fee associated with it. If you are referring to the
connection from the Swaldi development, then that normally would be considered private which would be a 2%
inspection fee. I may be misunderstanding but I need some clarification so that I can relay it to our finance department.
Thanks,
Michael Garza, P.E.

Our Finance Dept. has asked me to provide them a written explanation for the difference in the
amount of the RKM contract for paving and the amount the 4% permit fee was based on. You
mentioned yesterday it had to do with the street you are building for the City, but our auditors will
want to know the details since there is a difference of $31,294.10.
You can reply to this email with a short list of what was left out of the calculation of the 4% and
why. This will become back-up documentation for our Finance Dept. in case of questions during our
annual audit.
Thanks in advance for your attention to this request,
