Subject: Town Center Remodeling
In response to your fax requesting the use of cutting torches during the
remodeling at Town Center, please be advised the Coppell Fire Department will
allow their usage subject to the following conditions:
1) Removal of all combustible materials (15-20 feet) has been accomplished,
2) Posting of a fire watch during cutting operations,
3) Provision of two 10 pound ABC extinguishers,
4) Assurance of a phone to dial 911 should a fire occur,
5) Maintenance of fire watch until all areas of cutting are cool to the touch and
area is deemed safe, and
6) The Coppell Fire Department is notified by P/S @ 304-3503 at least 1 hour
before cutting operations begin.
Hopefully, by meeting these few edicts, the contractor will be able to expedite
the removal of existing jail facilities in a more timely manner while assuring
fire safety for Town Center.
