RE: Town Center Phase I & II TDLR Inspection

Michael Shook, Inspector of the TDLR Dallas Regional Office, inspected Town Center
Phases I & II and provided me with the attached verbal violations of both phases. He
advised me that the official response f~om the state would ~ mailed to my attention.
I have not received the official letter yet, but am forwarding you copies of the verbal
comments in anticipation of their letter so that we can work through these issues. The
most serious issue is the violation in all 4 restrooms at Town Center.

TOWN CENTER PHASE I (2nd Floor)
TDLR Inspection 1/22/98
VIOLATIONS NOTED BY INSPECTOR;
1. No visual fire alarm strobes in 2nd floor conference room, breakroom, or
restrooms.
2. All door hardware must be lever type handle (not knobs)....even mechanical
and stairwell doors.
3. Drinking fountain on 2nd floor must have 2 varied heights or remove existing one
4. 2nd floor breakroom sink must be lowered 2", cabinets below removed, and pipes
insulated
5. Accessible stalls in all 4 restrooms must be 60" x 60" (existing is 48" x 66").
Accessible water closet must be mounted 18" (middle of toilet) from sidewall
(existing is 14 1/2"). Accessible urinals must be mounted IT' from floor
(existing is 19'~.
TOWN CENTER PHASE II (1 st Floor)
TDLR Inspection 3/98
VIOLATIONS NOTED BY INSPECTOR:
1. No visual fire alarm strobes in 1 st floor conference room or
restroorns.
2. Automatic door openers recommended on three interior doors (already
identified by PSA and City).
3. *Accessible stalls in all 4 restrooms must be 60" x 60" (existing is 48" x 66").
Accessible water closet must be mounted 18" (middle of toilet) from sidewall
(existing is 14 1/2"). Accessible urinals must be mounted 17' from floor
(existing is 19").
