Please let me know if you have any comments or questions on any of this. I do want to share with you the feedback that we got from Oncor when they sent their estimate over (which was approx. $350,000-$400,000). They said: " Ms. Green, I have completed the preliminary cost estimate to adjust existing Oncor overhead facilities as requested. There are 2 locations where I could not completely accommodate your design request. On Sandy Lake Rd. east of Denton Tap Rd. where you request a transition from overhead to underground, this transition would need to take place west of the driveway into the shopping center. There are currently 2 underground Oncor lines crossing from the south side of Sandy Lake Rd. to the north side at this location, and the north side would need to stay as is, with the overhead to underground transition taking place west of the driveway. The other location is on Denton Tap Rd. south of Sandy Lake Rd. on the east side of Denton Tap. This is the location where we have overhead crossings 1 currently that will remain, but there is one line going north from the current crossing location overhead that would need to remain in place. All other locations, Oncor can accommodate your design request. Please be aware of some requirements that are associated with this type of request, as listed below. 1. The cost is NOT FIRM, and is for planning purposes only. If the City elects to explore this work further, an in depth cost analysis would need to be performed at that time. 2. Placing these lines underground does NOT preclude Oncor from using these routes as future overhead routes should we determine they are needed. Additional costs would be required to design these possible new lines underground, if requested, at that time. 3. All easements and clearing will be the responsibility of the City, as required by Oncor, and may be various sizes as needed. 4. The City will be responsible for converting all existing electrical customer services to underground, at the expense of the City. Oncor cannot perform this work. 5. The preliminary cost indicated below is calculated with the assumption that the City perform all civil work as required by Oncor to place the facilities underground, as well as all concrete pads for pad mounted equipment, as needed." -- Kristin Green, P.E., ISI ENV-SP Principal VERDUNITY 214-729-8733 www.verdunity.com 2
