I just wanted to be sure you all have the planning information to share as helpful. Please know these are dates that we
have been given from our contractor and are subject to weather or other unknown delays.
The Chartwell / Hackberry Road widening project will be constructed in three phases.
Phase 1 Feb. 7- April 17.
The first phase includes construction of the northern entry lane from S. Beltline Road to the entry drive into the retail
development, as well as construction of the full roadway width from this retail entry to Ranch Trail. This phase will
provide one way access eastbound from S. Beltline Road into the adjacent retail development and back out onto the
frontage road of Interstate 635 via Cypress Waters Boulevard. A small detour lane to allow this access to occur is
th
currently under construction and will be complete by February 7.
th
Barricades will be installed the morning of February 10 (Monday) and demolition of the existing roadway will
commence.
Chartwell/Hackberry Road will be completely closed, except for the detour into the retail development, during this
th
phase. Phase 1 is scheduled to be completed by April 17 .
Phase 2 April 17- May 30.
The second phase of construction includes the construction of the southern entry lane from S. Beltline Road.
During this second phase access will still be restricted from S. Beltline Road to one-way going eastbound into the retail
development and out Cypress Waters Boulevard.
1
From Cypress Waters Boulevard circulation will be able to occur either south, to the frontage road of Interstate 635, or
north to the newly completed and widened Hackberry Road which will allow two way access between Cypress Waters
Boulevard and Ranch Trail. The second phase is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
Phase 3 May 30 – June 16
The third phase will consist of the construction of the hooded turn island at Beltline Road.
th
The roadway will remain open in both directions during this phase and the phase will be completed by June 16.
I think it will be helpful if we send this to you with a map attached. I will ask Tom Holland to do so on Monday.
Have a nice weekend.
