Sampling Method: Point elevations were measured at regular 12 -inch intervals along
straight lines up to 48 feet in length. The elevation differences between
all adjacent reading points, the arithmetic differences between all
adjacent 12 -inch elevation differences, and the elevation differences
between all points separated 10 feet were then calculated. Estimates of
the floor's flatness and levelness F- Numbers (Ff & FI) were obtained
through a statistical analysis of these calculated profile values.
