Action: Bar Constructors, In~ SHUT DOWN One more shut down to complete this project is required to make the tie in of the new 42 inch pipeline to the existing 36 inch supply line. Coppell began water rationing on May 15, 1998. No lawn watering allowed on Wednesdays, so the required shut down must occur on a Wednesday. Readiness for the shut down is contingent upon passing the hydrostatic testing of the new forty two inch supply line, chlorination and maintaining water supply to Coppell. Should an alternate date be required, City of Coppell to inform DWU of their preference date. The hydrostatic test of the forty two inch supply line was conducted on Friday, May 22 and did not pass and as a result the tentatively scheduled shut down on Wednesday, May 27 did not happen. This critical shut down was delayed until the next available date beginning on or around 9 am Wednesday, June 3, 1998 after the morning load is over for Coppell. Rescheduling of hydrostatic tests and chlorination to be coordinated by DWU and the contractor. Preparation for this shut down will be coordinated just as on previous shut downs.
