SCHEDULE Requested that the contractor provide an update of the schedule at each meeting to track progress. Action: Bar Constructors, Inc. 2. SUBMITTALS Bar Constructors, Inc. inquired about the stares of the instrumentation submittals. Hank Niblo indicated that he is still reviewing submittals. Action: DWU Design Bar Constructors, Inc. submitted RFI No. 8 on incorrect form. Bar Constructors, Inc. also did not allow adequate lime to respond to RFI No. 8 before taking action and in doing so assumes the risk ifRFI information differs from action taken. Project Manager requested that Bar resubmit RFI No. 8 using the correct form for record purposes and in the future use correct form and give adequate time to respond. Action: Bar Constructors, In~ STORM WATER REPORTS Not needed for this project - project under five acres. Action: None " r I T ! l' 5. SHUT DOWN Bar Constructors, Inc. requested a twenty four hour shut down to the Coppell 36 inch supply line beginning at 7 am, Monday, April 13, 1998. In preparation for the shut down, City of Copped will test the 36 inch butterfly valve at 2 pro, Thursday, April 9, 1998. Pumping Division to monitor Coppea over the weekend and make certain that CoppeD's reservoirs are full prior to the shut down. Pumping Division will also close the valve on the ROFC as a safety measure for the scheduled shut down. Giff'ord Hill requested a dry spot and two working air compressors. Gifford Hill will have four welders on site to perform their work during this shut down. Wholesale Services to contact other customer cities on the DFW main of a possible shut down in case the two valves involved in the shut down leak. Project Manager notified Distribution of shut down and the possibility that their assistance may be required. In case of bad weather, the alternate day or performing this work is Tuesday, April 14, 1998. Action: All 6. WORK ON SATURDAYS AND AFTER HOURS Project Manager notified contractor that requests to work on Saturdays go to Mathis not later than Thursday afternoon before the Saturday work. Project Manager notified contractor to request after hours work with inspectors early in the day. Action: Bar Constructors, In~ 7. CONCRETE POUR NOTIFICATION Project Manager notified contractor that a twenty four hour notice to the inspector is required prior to pouring concrete. Action: Bar Constructors, In~ 8. VALVE INSTALLATION Project Manager gave contractor the appurtenance drawing showing the 1-inch copper blow off required for valves and requested that the 42 inch valve on the DFW main meet this requirement. Action: Bar Constructors, In~ 9. OTHER BUSINESS Hank Niblo inquired about the calibration report for the meter. Contractor is looking for report and will submit to DWU as soon as possible.
