Re: Coppell Town Center
Dear Ed:
I am in receipt of your punch list dated September 11, 1986
for the subject project. You have listed as item #6 under Kitchen "charcoal
filter on stove for kitchen vent needs to be installed." As I have explained
previously we have furnished and installed the exact model # stove required
by plans. There is no charcoal filter unit on this model nor can one be
installed because of the limited heightUnder the upper cabinets. This stove
is equiped to be vented outside, however, the architect did not make any
allowances or plan for ducting df this vent. I brought this problem to the
architects attention on several different occasions but never recieved any
direction.
To install a charcoal filter unit at this time would require
a fairly major rework of the cabinets above the stove. I would suggest
venting to the outside using the exhaust fan with which the stove is already
equiped. At any rate there will be cost involved as this is not within our
contract work. I will be happy to discuss this problem with you at your
convenience but I do need your directive to proceed with whichever alter-
native you choose.
