Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to set forth for all concerned the sequence
of events concerning surface drainage and to again advise you that we are
opposed to drainage across our property.
As the two of you are aware, the three of us met with.Mr. Powell with the
City of Coppell and Mr. Favre with Ginn, Inc. on' Friday, January 31, 1986,
to explore drainage alternatives and how to best solve this problem. It
was the agreement of everyone present to use the existing dedicated twenty-
foot drainage and utility easement adjacent to the west boundaries of our
properties with box drains.
I was very disappointed when I contacted Mr. Koch on Monday, February 10,
1986, and was advised by him that you no longer plan to use underground
drainage in the existing dedicated easement, as was agreed, but instead
plan to construct an open channel to our south property line, which would
bring all surface drainage to our property.
By a copy of this letter, we are advising the City of Coppell that we are
opposed to drainage across our property since there is a provision for
surface drainage already provided.
We are most anxious to see your project go forward; however, we must
adamently hold to our position on drainage since your proposal would prove
very costly to us.
Very truly yours,
Pat Boorhem
