MA1009-CS130807 (2) Halie Hernandez From:Steve Kenney <steve@jdkassoc.com> Sent:Wednesday, August 07, 2013 10:55 AM To:Keith Marvin; Alberto Samaniego Subject:Alex Drive Canal Keith, After review of the plans and observation of the canal we have identified that the plan sheet 6 of 9 showing the conditions of the canal which would have allowed us to accomplish our work without lower the water past the 453.6 is not the actual conditions. With that JDK will needs to continue to lower the water past the 453.6 level that was stated on the plans to execute or work. In our observation we have witnessed that a great portion of the west retaining is above this elevation leaving it totally expose. We are confident after consulting with our on engineer (Phil King, P.E.) that the continued lowering of the water in the canal will have no effects on the remaining retaining wall as we have witnessed on the already exposed retaining wall.
