Keith, We are agreeable to the 2" option as long as the Coppell Fire Dept. provides us a written waiver concurring with
this option.
Thanks,

Subject: Sandy Lake Road Facility
Larry,
Thanks for meeting with us yesterday at the Verizon Facility on Sandy Lake Road. To summarize our meeting, the city's
contractor is to the point where they need to transfer the water service feeding this building to the new water line. The
existing water service is a 6" line that feeds your domestic use, a set of chillers for your operation, and a single fire hose
station.
Our two options for reconnecting this service appear to be:
Replace the old 6" service with a new one. This will require a shut-down of your service for approximately 4-6 hours
while new meters, vaults, etc. are installed. The benefit to this method is you are left with the same capabilities for
water usage and expansion of your fire suppression system that you have today.
The other option is for us to remove the existing 6" meter and vault, and connect a new 2" service to you exiting 6" line.
This would then feed your system with the same pressure that you have today, you would loose some of the volume
capabilities that you have under the current configuration. This would limit your ability to expand your fire suppression
system. The benefit to this method is a time and cost savings to the city, and no loss of water service to your facility
during the installation.
Please review these options, and let us know what your preference is. You can reach me at 972-304-3681 if you would
like to discuss anything about these options, or if you have any other questions about the project.
Thanks again for your help with this issue.
