RE: Bums Street
Dear Ken:
As you know, Koll Development Company is preparing to commence the development of Koll
Center Coppell at the SE comer of Freeport Parkway and Bethel Road. As part of the
preparation, we know that it is important that the barricades on Burns Street be removed. While
we support the removal, we also understand the barricades were put in place to restrict truck
traffic and parking and therefore support any restrictions that the City can implement to prohibit
truck parking on both Bums and Hammond streets. Given the activity that this development will
have during and after its construction, it will be necessary to keep both Bums and Hammond
streets open for vehicular traffic.
As an aside, we are in the process of removing the rail line that bisects our site and crosses Bums
Street. It would be appropriate to also defer the opening of Bums Street until the rail line
removal is completed as well as the subsequent repairs. I would appreciate it if this request could
be presented to the appropriate party within the City of Coppell. If I can be of any assistance in
this matter, please do not hesitate to call me at 214-696-7825.
Sincerely,
M. Scott Ozymy
