CF-TownC CHC-CS 860129 MEMORANDUM
DATE: January 29, 1986
TO: Frank Proctor, City Manager
FROM: Lou Duggan, Mayor
RE: City Hall Site
1. It is my understanding that Mike Allen of Univest has offered
to re-center the City Hall project on 8 acres of land by
trading existing property.
2. Please ask Ed Powell and Wayne Ginn to meet with Univest to:
a) Establish what we have by platting the property.
b) Where the 2.2 acres are.
c) Will there be a street running between the existing
City Hall complex and the 2.2 acres we currently have.
If so, is the street part of the 2.2 acres.
d) Specifically show on a map and plats where the
proposed 2.2 acre-swap was located.
e) If centered on 5.8 acres, what does this do to the
City master plan for Town Center Development, i.e.,
L-shaped, U-shaped, etc.
f) Do we need one tract of 8 acres for ultimate buildout
of City facilities.
3. After accomplishing the above, the Council will need a
recommendation for a course of action:
a) Swap the land, if still an option.
b) Keep what we have.
c) Change the existing master plan.
d) Accept Univest's offer to re-center the City Hall
complex.
4. Time is of the essence because land commitments are being
made by Univest. So...try to have a recommendation soon.
5. Good luck!
