RE: Coppell Justice Center
Dear Don,
Police Chief David Miller has requested a meeting with PSA
regarding the status of incomplete punch list items associated
with the Coppell Justice Center (see attached memo).
I spoke to Glenn Cramer who advised that you would be back on
Monday, June 30, and asked me to wait until that time to schedule
a meeting. I will be out the week of June 30, but Police Chief
David Miller or Police Captain Wade Goolsby should be available
to discuss this with you further.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Sheri Moino
Facilities Manager
MEMORANDUM

From:
Sheri Moino, Facilities Manager~ . . ~ ,¢
David C. Miller, Police Chief
Subject:
Completion of the Coppell Justice Center
The Police and Court Departments moved into the Justice Center on February 4, 1997, with the
understanding the building was "substantially completed." It was also our understanding that
there were numerous items remaining on the "punch list" that the builder, Mid-South, still needed
to complete. Work has progressed on the interior punch list items and is near completion.
The exterior items, specifically landscaping, has not progressed satisfactorily. We have been in
the building for approximately four months. Tthis is ample time for the builders to have
completed all the punch list items. It should be noted that representatives of Mid-South have not
been observed working on our building for several weeks.
I would like to request that you contact representatives of the P.S.A. and schedule a meeting so
that we can take immediate steps to complete the remaining punch list items, including
landscaping and deduct the expenses from the balance of funds we are holding for Mid-South. It
is time to bring closure to the Justice Center project.
I will be available to meet on Friday, June 27, in the morning, or anytime during the week of June
30.
CC
Clay Phillips, Deputy City Manager
Wade Goolsby, Operations Captain
