Re: Village Parkway Pump Station Additions
Village Parkway Ground Storage Reservoir No. 2
Larry:
Following are the letters you suggested we write to the contractors working at the Village Parkway Pump
Station. Let me know what you think.
In addition, we are sending you a copy of the letter we received today from North Texas. They appear to be
aware of the continuing "temperature problem" on pump no. 6 and believe it to be related to the IQ-1000
module. After reviewing the winding temperatures that apparently occurred at 4:22 mn on May 12 and
reported to us by Mr. Matt Cast, it is our opinion that temperatures in the ranges reported would have caused
significant problems (and at least a burnt odor at the motor). We have discussed this problem with our
electrical engineer and he concurs that the RTD in is likely the problem. We offer no objections to NTMCC
approach to this problem and recommend they proceed with corrective rn, easures in an expeditious manner

Tedd Dutt
North Texas Municipal Const tion Co
Team Controls, Inc.
Date: 5
Subject: Village Parkway Pump Station Additions -- SCADA System
A meeting was held on April 24, 1997 at the Village Parkway Pump Station to discuss the status of the
SCADA System project. In attendance were:
Matt Cast, City of Coppell Steve Baker, Team Controls
Tedd Dutt, City of Coppell Gary Hendricks, S.J.& F.
Larry Davis, City of Coppell
Curtis ?????, City of Coppell
In general, we discussed the items included in the two "Punch List" letters from the City of Coppell dated
April 11, 1997. Matt and Ted explained in detail to Steve Baker each item on the list in order to make sure
Team Controls had complete understanding of the work remaining and problems encountered so far.
In addition to the items on the punch list, Tedd Dutt informed Team Controls that the training hours included
in the contract had not been fully exhausted and that some additional training on the use of the Tool Box
would be helpful.
We also discussed the letter from our office dated April 22, 1997. Steve indicated that he is the project
manager and that he will designate in writing who will be the project superintendent on the project. We expect
to get that written confirmation by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Steve also stated that he is wearing the
pager previously worn by James Sipes and that it is programmed into the City's 911/411 alarm and paging
system.
Concerning the completion of the project, Steve Baker indicated Team would have adequate personnel on site
starting Monday of next weel~ ( week of April 281h). Steve, the City still expects a written response from the
contractor as to the commitment of personnel, designation of project superintendent and the schedule for
completion of this project.
