I was able to stop by thc project site and thc City of Coppell to address thc approach drainage and the manhole issue
tl~at ar~c during construcnion.
Thc detail for thc Ea.q approach al Belhel Rd. has to be revised to prevent any drainage onto Bethel Road. Mike
Martin is flexible on how ti, is is done. Thc atlached d~aJl shows the curb ending at thc point of curvature of the
drive. This allows maxJmttm flow and relative clcan grading at Bethel Rd. If thc effect o£ trucks cultmg lhe
corner on a non-curbed section is a concern, the radius could bc curbed with a curb cut in the return as nccdcd
for drainage. Another opdon available is a dustpan ap~oach, which has no curb and is similar to the at~ached,
but has a straight paved section from the curb ending lo Bethel Rd. m lieu ora radi. us,
Thc .~nitary. sewer manhole on thc souihwcsl side of the site is a shallow manhole no longer in ~rv~ce. ][ts
intent was to ~rvice the property across Bethel Road, but was never used. Since the Tradepoim Project's
improvements affect the area directly around this nanhole, it is thc City's posilion that it shall be abandoned
wilh this project to prevent any adverse im"~llration into thc system. I lave attached thc portion of thc City of
Coppell Standard Construction Detail Sheet SD-21 wldch is to be used for abandoning this manholc.
