RE: Ammonia & Chlorine Safety Procedures Orientation
During the past twelve months the Village Parkway Pump Station has
been under construction and is now near completion. One
improvement that has been implemented at this pump station is on-
site disinfection.
The chemicals tha~ will be used at Village Parkway are ammonia and
chlorine. The Utilities Department will have two (2) 150 lb.
cylinders of ammonia and four (4) 150 lb. cylinders of chlorine on
site. The contractor is tentatively planning~he start up, usages,
and leak detection orientation, both audio and visual, on April 30,
and May 1, 1997, at 9=00 a.m., at the Village Park Pump Station
site.
Xf you can send a representative from each of your respective
departments to this meeting, questions and answers may be exchanged
concerning the disinfection, application, monitoring, and emergency
procedures for these chemicals.
Please give me a call at 304-3551 to confirm attendance or if you
have any questions.
