Re: SCADA Computer Problems
Dear Gary:
We have encountered the following problems with the SCADA system:
1. Chuck Hancock was in the Main Menu and "Intouch" went away.
Windows 95 appeared and three screens were layered. Ted Dutt had
to minimize all and the reload "Intouch." We had to go to
Program, Start Up, View Exe.
Why did this happen?
2. At one point, the screen came up with "04/11 09 02:52 DDE
advised link to ViewTagName."
Why? And why can't we print the screen?
3. Why is the computer (which is a 586) so slow and why is the
printer even slower?
4. We need a spread sheet with "landscape" layout containing'
all information or statistics on about one or two pages maximum.
If you have any questions, please give me a call.
Sincerely,
Matt Cast

RE: SCADA System Modifications
Dear Gary:
With regard to our conversation of yesterday, the following items
make up a "punch list" for problems at the lift stations:
1. Deforest Lift Station - repair holes; water leaking into
station.
2. Tool Box on lap top - won't connect with Sandy Lake Lift
Station.
3. Alarm - should be able to shut off Village Parkway entry
alarm before sending page.
4. Badger Meter at Sandy Lake Lift still shows "low."
5. Back up to the "busy" dial out - hook up auto dialer.
6. Circular fans in wet wells need to run when pump runs.
7. Intruder alarms page should not be activated during the day,
Monday through Friday.
8. All screens must print.
9. Pony boards are not working on pump.
10. Event page needs to be able to go back one week and print
all or part.
11. Water in electrical manhole.
12. Turn pump on in "activate" through the computer and it turns
itself off at 40 feet.

13. Pressure points need to be installed.
14. Deforest lift station pumping down too low.
15. Sensors at lift stations - need to hook up level sensors.
16. Tags for pumps 5 and 6 (motor and pump) and computer.
17. Lift station flows are too high.
18. Show gallons on GSR's on Village Parkway screen. We would
like ten buttons (two columns, five buttons in each column) with
"Command" buttons on the left and "Actual" buttons on the right
added to the GSR Village Parkway screen. When a command is given
to a certain pump, that "Command" button should be red. When the
pump is activated and pumping, the "Actual" button should be red.
When the pumps are not running or have not been commanded, none
of the buttons should be lighted. Please note that these control
requests were give to James early on.
Command Actual
19. Alarm Dial Out - We need to be able to print out.
20. We need a vendor number.
21.~ Communication - need a print sheet.
22. It appears the level sensors may not be at the lift
stations. The sensors being used should be green. The sensors
not being used should be red.
23. Dallas Flow Accumulations should be tabulated daily on a
spread sheet.
24. Contractor changed the elevation on electrical conduit pit.

due to water. Grade needs to be changed to eliminate the
problem.
25. Chlorine and ammonia - We do not know if there are any
problems because it has not been activated.
26. ESTI, CL2 or A1 readings are not showing.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
We would like to get these issues resolved as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Matt Cast
