Thank-you for the tremendous support you give to the Coppell Community Garden.
The community is surrounding this project as it becomes a positive image in promoting a
healthy city. Our steering committee is dedicated to building a non-profit that will greatly
enhance the sustainability of the project through volunteer involvement.
The volunteers have literally "gotten their hands dirty" to build the Town Center Garden
from the ground up. To keep motivated until we plant a fall garden, we had a picnic last
Saturday. About 50 people came and enjoyed an evening on the Town Center back porch.
We had plenty of good food, family games on the lawn, tours of the garden, and get
acquainted time.
We are now in the process of building the Post Office garden, which is very labor
intensive. Gardeners from the Town Center garden have committed to helping build these ...... ~ ....
gardens, too. I would like to help motivate them with water to the garden site. Befot_5..effo~t~~
trip, please instigate a water valve off the main line with a back flow preventer,~5-so we can tie
in with a 1" supply line to the garden drip system.
