RE: Ammonia & Chlorine Safety Procedures Orientation
During the past twelve months the Village Parkway Pump Station ha5
been under construction and is now near completion. One
improvement that has been implemented at this p~tmp station is on-
site dislnfection.
The chemicals that will be used at Village Parkway are ammonia and
chlorine. The Utilities Department will have two (2) 150 lb.
cylinders of ammonia and four (4)'150 lb. cylinders of chlorine on
site. The contractor is tentatively planning the start up, usages,
and leak detection orientation, both audio and visual, on
Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at 9:00 a.m., at the Village Park Pump
Station site.
If you can send a represen~ative from each of your respective
departments to ~hie meeting, ques~ions and answers may be exchanged
concerning Ehe disinfection, application, monitoring, and emergency
procedures for these chemicals.
Please give me a call at 304-3551 to confirm attendance or if you
have any questions.
