Ms. Lawson,
I'm attaching an exhibit that our engineer created based on the Oncor pole locations they have marked. All
poles fall within the city right of way. Unless their pole locations conflict with any city improvements, we have
little to no authority to dictate where they go within that right of way.
Oncor and all other public utilities are regulated by various state and federal agencies. The City of Coppell does
not regulate their work. As a public utility they have a right to be in the city right of way.
I hope this information is helpful to you.

In sincere respect, yes Margaret,
the landowner did grant an easement to the City of Coppell, for monetary consideration -
we did not grant an easement to Oncor. (I have negotiated electrical easements on commercial property in my
past)
The city of coppell engineering associate Keith (cc above) has been very respectful in communication to the
1
rights of a landowner.
The Oncor group (as well as City contractors) has left garbage on the property and met with the city contractor -
who went over our property line to cut limbs and trees,
without the property owner permission.
Workmen have had no respect as to where they;
1. place vehicles;
2. leave trash;
3. and property damage....major damage to the fence occured between city lack of control of flooding and past
Oncor tree contractors dropping limbs onto the top of the fence, splitting off the boards.
4. trespass onto property - not owned by Oncor, nor the city, nor granted easement into homeowner property
rights.
5. I have had hundreds of dollars of water stolen by water trucks...
Please, do not tell me how concientous utility and city subcontractor crews are.
Therefore, in meetings with Keith, he has been kind enough to let me know where the poles would be placed, in
the city right easement - granted to Oncor by the CITY OF COPPELL.
I would have preferred buried lines, as the poles in the unstable ground tend to not stay straight....and we have
wind shearing in Coppell - just drive sandy lake to and view the poles...

Keep your crews garbage picked up and do not trespass without permission for specific work. Do not access
my water.
Thank you for your consideration and again, would appreciate you placing the statement sent on an email----in
WRITING TO THE ABOVE REFERENCED POST OFFICE BOX, SINCE YOUR NOTICE WAS
UNDELIVERABLE.
RESPECTFULLY -
Christina Lawson

This email should be your statement in writing. I do not have a plat that will show the location of the
poles. You keep referring to an “easement”. You have not granted an easement. Where Oncor is placing the
poles/wires is located in the new right of way of Sandy Lake Road. This property is now owned by the City of
Coppell. There will be no Oncor facilities on your private property.

Margaret, On behalf of Oncor, please place this statement in writing and
mail to PO Box 2432 Coppell Texas 75019. Also would appreciate
a plat of where the poles will be located on the easement, if not too much trouble.
Keith, as discussed, would appreciate letting me know final location of poles in easement.
thank you

Dear Ms. Lawson,
There will be no Oncor facilities located on your private property. All facilities will be located within the new
City right of way of Sandy Lake Road. This right of way is now owned by the City. The existing service to
your house will remain the same as it is right now.
Thank you,

Margaret,
The mailbox was continually being damaged by unkowns, having been located on the corner of Oak Trail and
Sandy Lake, therefore, all mail is to be
sent to
Barbara Martin, Christina Lawson
PO Box 2432
Coppell, Tx 75019
A. The electrical lines moved to the interior of the easement - and may I suggest the "middle" - should not affect
the existing tree limbs which are not hanging over the easement.
B. If the power lines hang over the private property of Martin, at all, then Oncor will receive a letter to "move"
the power lines from the homeowners, as they have no rights, from the Martin's attorney. In simple English,
Oncor cannot place a pole on the edge of the easement and mount power lines in the air space over the property
line of the homeowner.
C. I would appreciate a rendering demonstrating where in the air space the power lines will be placed.
D. Clean up the trash and do not trespass on Martin property, without notice of need. Do not park trucks or
allow workmen to use the property at will and do not use the utilities (water). Every contractor of the city has
left trash on the property.
E. The electrical connection should be a splice from where the existing electrical pole is, which meets our
underground utility. We paid for underground utilities to the pole, so that the sparks from the wires would not
cause a fire. Being on the corner, we receive more electrical surges then other properties. Please advise that no
overhead wires to the property are permitted...and that Oncor will respect the connection and previous work by
the homeowner for a connection.
4
Be on notice, Oncor and the City of Coppell contractors, violated trust when they entered the property and cut
limbs which were on the property owners
land. A free for all cutting of the remaining trees will not be tolerated. Trash remaining will not be tolerated.
The trees have had pictures taken as to the status. Butchering trees at whim damages them and leaves them at
the mercy of pests and weather to heal.
I would appreciate confirmation - from the city of coppell, as well as oncor, in honoring the underground
connection that is in place at this time, to the existing pole and that another connection to that area is the
responsibility of Oncor, as to the movement of the pole, further into the city easement.
I was told, that with the easement, everything would be as the same connections that exist, just modified as to
where the new pole would be set further into the easement.
Please send a plat of pole location, wire location and acknowledgement of underground electrical wire splice to
new location.
My mother, Barbara Martin, purchased the home and I have an interest in the property, due to major illness of
fractured legs and jaw. I am still power of attorney as to the 101 Oak Trail property and management of her
estate.
