Subject:Re: 101 Oak Trail sprinkler system
Going against the city is useless without an attorney, which i have available, however, this issue does not merit one. The
city contractors obviously damaged zone 1 and removed one sprinkler putting in the walk. There should be 4 heads,
three in a row and the 4th by the drive. Bring your guy tom, friday, 10am ok. I want the system working and the mess
by oncor cleaned up. It would be nice to have my system in my property because it cost me a water bill, stress, and
aggravation debating what is plain to see, just like a total fenced yard one home away and trespass known by everyone.
A kid almost hit me on the drive today

Ms. Lawson,
I'm glad to see that you were able to get some of your sprinkler system functioning.
It's unfortunate that we have been unable to meet on site to review the damage that you believe was caused by our
contractor that installed the sidewalk within the city right of way. Our sidewalk contractor is responsible for any damage
he causes.
Since we seem to be at an impasse in terms of how to proceed, I wanted to make you aware of another option available
to you. I am attaching a claim form that can be used to file a damage claim against the City of Coppell. You could hire
an irrigation contractor to restore your system at your expense, then file a claim to recover that cost. With the claim
you would need to document the cause of the damage. This could be done with pictures, statements from you and the
irrigator, etc. You could also submit your "large water bill" as evidence of the timing of the damage.
If you wish to proceed with the claim, please fill out the attached claim form, and return it to the City Secretary with all
of your documentation. If you want to meet to review the damage to your existing line, Albert and I would be glad to
meet out there sometime tomorrow.

Keith,
My family helped me last night work through all the zones, but zone 1 which was affected in the easement.
All zones now work, but zone one
1
Their were three sprinkler heads-none of which work...and whomever put in the side walk "hacked" the sprinkler head
off, which bit into the line...
Therefore, I did not need the line spliced, but a sprinkler head added...and WOULD APPRECIATE THE THREE HEAD
LINE
be moved back into my property...so NO OTHER CONTRACTOR hits it.....
I paid a large water bill from the leak...which my brother put an end to...NOT THE CITY CREWS...
PLEASE ARRANGE FOR THE SPRINKLER REPAIR HERE TOMORROW (FRIDAY) IN THE MORNING TO;
A. READY TO RUN A TRENCH LINE FOR ZONE 1 ON MY PROPERTY...VERY SHALLOW ....A LABORER CAN INSTALL IN
30-45 MINUTES
B. THREE SPRINKLERS, ONE LARGE CONCRETE RING IS MISSING
AND ONE LINE - SHOULD NOT COST THE CITY MUCH...
C. ZONE ONE SHOULD BE OPERATIONAL...
THEY ALSO PER MY BROTHER, IF HACKED OFF THE SPRINKLER HEAD, DID INTERRUPT THE ELECTRICAL
CONTROLLER...FOR ZONE ONE
THIS WAS NOT A SIMPLE ....LET'S SPLICE AND NOT RESTORE JOB...
THANK YOU
CHRISTINA
