Thank you for the answer on the drainage. Andrew From: Keith Marvin [mailto:KMarvin@coppelltx.gov] Sent: Thursday, November 08, 2012 4:24 PM To: Andrew Luce Cc: Mike Jones; Chris Schmitt Subject: RE: Minimum Storm Drain Pipe Size Andrew, We don’t have any objection to the 18” pipe size, provided it has the capacity. On a separate note, please copy me on correspondence you have with the franchise utility companies concerning this project. We like to document that correspondence in our project files, and if Atmos had not copied me on their response, I would not have had a record of it. Keith Marvin, P.E. City of Coppell 972-304-3681 From: Andrew Luce [mailto:ALuce@TNPINC.com] Sent: Thursday, November 08, 2012 3:48 PM To: Keith Marvin Subject: Minimum Storm Drain Pipe Size Keith, In the City of Dallas Drainage Design Manual, page 13 states that any inlet 10’ or larger shall have a minimum lateral pipe size of 21”. In the previous Sandy Lake Rd. (S. Coppell to Denton Tap) submittal from May 2012, there were 7 laterals (F1-11, F1-13, G-1, H1-1, H1-2, H1-3, H1-4) that had inlets 10’ or larger with lateral sizes of 18”. Should these laterals be changed to a 21” pipe size or would you prefer to leave them as 18” lines? There were no City comments in regards to these line sizes in the last submittal, so I wanted to verify with you before I changed anything. Thanks, Andrew 1 Andrew Luce, P.E.
