Subject:RE: Sandy Lake Road Project
Mr. Wells,
I’m out of the office this week, but I wanted to try to answer your questions as best I could. I don’t have the latest plans
with me, but I will forward your request to one of our technicians and ask them to send you a pdf of the area around this
house.
The pavement will move approximately 20 feet closer to the home at 103 Winding Hollow. In addition to the wider
pavement, there will also be a new sidewalk between the curb and the property line. Beginning about half way down
the lot there will be a retaining wall on the back side of the sidewalk. The street will be on the low side of the retaining
wall, and the home on the high side. The retaining wall will be poured in place concrete with a decorative finish. The
wall gets taller as it goes west toward Bricknell.
All the trees within the area described above will need to be removed to accommodate this work (approximately 30 feet
from the edge of the existing street).
Any fencing that is in conflict with the road improvements will be moved during the project. It doesn’t look like the
fence at this location will be affected by the project. There are no plans for any noise abatement.
st
This project is set to go to bid by the end of the month, with construction beginning around June 1.
Once you get the plans, please let me know what other questions you may have.

Subject: Sandy Lake Road Project
Mr. Marvin,
My wife and I are looking to buy a home that is next to Sandy Lake Road. We were hoping to learn a little bit more
about the project as to understand the potential impact on the livability and value of this potential purchase.
We have a conditional contract on 103 Winding Hollow Lane.
How much with road surface move towards that property?
Will some of the trees remain?
Is there any budget or plans to improve fencing for noise abatement?
Do you have a drawing you could share electronically?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
