Hay <shay@tnpinc.com> Sent:Thursday, April 25, 2013 2:31 PM To:Keith Marvin Cc:Robert Jenkins; Casey McBroom; Andrew Luce Subject:Sandy Lake - Denton Tap Mast Arms & Foundations Keith, We noticed a couple of items with the mast arms and foundations called out at the Denton Tap signal and wanted to bring this to your attention in the event it is questioned by a contractor. 1.Two (2) 52’ Mast Arms are called out for this intersection. Typical TxDOT Mast Arm lengths run in 5’ increments above 48’, i.e. 50’, 55’, 60’, 65’. 2.Foundation Type 48-A is called out to be used with the 52’ Mast Arms. The Traffic Signal Pole Foundation sheet 103 only goes up to a Type 42-A foundation. The Standard detail sheets for Long Mast Arm Assembly poles (TxDOT LMA-(01) set) were not included in the advertised set. If these mast arms and foundations have been used routinely by the City in the past, you can just disregard this e- mail. Let us know if you need us to do anything further.
