Item I-186 covers both the sidewalks and the median curbs, with I-187 covering the pad where the paver would have rested. Once we changed to stamped concrete (paid under landscape plans), that pad is no longer necessary. Delvin said he would be OK with leaving it in there as a little concrete fluff, or zeroing it out, either way. All callouts on the bridge plans refer to the landscape plans for the median treatment with all mentions of pavers removed otherwise. Andrew is gathering up the paperwork, and checking his notes for design speed, and will get back with me shortly. Casey McBroom, P.E. From: Mark Gaines [mailto:Mark@rebcon.com] Sent: Thursday, April 25, 2013 4:33 PM To: Jennifer Cook Subject: Questions on W Sandy Lake Rd Phase 2A and 2B Ms. Cook, I can’t locate in the plans any reference on the bridge to paver base concrete even though there is a bid Item I-187 Bridge Class B Concrete for Paver base. There is also not an item for the decorative concrete in the median on the bridge. I’m guessing this is related. Can you provide a detail for the concrete in the median and clarify the bid item if it should be for the decorative median concrete? Thanks, Mark Gaines Rebcon, Inc. 2
