Keith
As is usually the case I think, most of the references seem to have pretty good things to say about whomever listed them
as a reference. Within TNP, most seem to think Tiseo is marginal GC at best, and the only subcontractor I received
internal comment on was Superscapes. Those feelings were less than favorable as well with recent projects.
Outside TNP, however, all feedback was generally good both via phone and through email. I’ll list the email response
here for you to read. I think that again shows that people only list their successes as references.
Axis Contracting:
They did an excellent job for me! I would hire them again. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Axis Contracting did perform services on the Houston School Road Project and they did a good job. They were very
responsive and easy to work with. They completed the project on time and within budget. I enjoyed working with them
and look forward to working with them again.
Axis Contracting was the contractor on the Spring Valley/Coit Road Pedestrian Amenities Project. The project was a
cooperative effort between the City of Dallas, the City of Richardson, and Dallas County. Original funding was supposed
to be provided by STEP Funds applied for by the City of Dallas.. However, the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan and hurricanes
on the Gulf Coast dried up these funds. The project was on hold for about a year until ARRA Funding was available for
shelf-ready projects. The project was built with ARRA Funds and some Dallas County funds.
The City of Dallas bid the project and awarded the construction contract to Axis Contracting. Monthly invoices from the
contractor were processed by the City of Dallas. The City of Richardson provided on-site construction observation, utility
coordination, and secured most of the property owner agreements with adjacent property owners because most of the
construction was done on the Richardson side of Spring Valley Road and Coit Road.
Axis Contracting did an excellent job in building the project. The company is a minority owned business, so this is a
plus. The work was accomplished within the time allowed and within budget. The owner, Suzan Williams, did a great
job with the federal paper work (ARRA Funds). Chris Quentin was very creative in overcoming some obstacles in the
field and keeping the project on schedule. This project was adjacent to busy arterial streets, so working safely was as
much a part of the work as the paving. Chris was also very good at working with adjacent property owners. His
communication skills were important to completing the project. He is also very good with ADA compliance.
Overall, we had a good experience with Axis.
Environmental Safety Services:
Environmental Safety Services had only one contract with City of Fort Worth in which I was designated PM. Their
performance on gabion installation work was good. The only problem I had with them was related to progress payment.
They are not financially that strong. They have to be paid on time to make satisfactory progress of work.
Four Star Excavating:
1
Four Star Excavating was the subcontractor on that project. They did pretty good job in term of meeting our specs and
on time.
Superscapes:
Superscapes has done two jobs for me in the past three years. I do not have any negative things to say about them, they
were always there when ask and always did more than what was expected out of them. I wish I had them on every one
of my jobs.
We have used Superscapes on several jobs and would recommend them. They have performed well and stand by their
work.
Superscapes was her attentive to the needs of the project. They performed on time and did a great job for us and the
City. We would recommend them to anyone.
Superscapes is still performing the landscape and irrigation scope for us. They have been great to work with to
date. The only complaint we have had is them having a foreman onsite that can speak and understand English. We are
told they are in the process of addressing this. Other than that they have met our expectations on schedule, man
power, submittals, pricing exercises, and office management. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
They are fantastic!
Superscapes did a great job for me on the fast track Wal-Mart. This job was fast, and demanding of man power and
supervision. Since the project has been closed they have responded very well to all items warranty etc. they had close
out documents in on time. I would recommend Superscapes to anyone no matter the size of the job or how demanding
the schedule. Anything further please let me know. Respectfully
I have had numerous experiences with Superscapes and all of them have been great. I don’t have one complaint starting
from there paperwork to their installation, all of it is top notch. Let me know if you need anything else.
This company has moved to the top of our list of landscapers/irrigation subs. They have been ahead of schedule and
have been on top of our punch list. We have used them on two previous projects and have had the same results.
Anyone I reached on the phone was generally positive, and generic. I think people are generally hesitant to say
something negative to someone they do not know.

Ok. Thanks. I heard some less than favorable things about the Gabion sub.

Subject: Update on Subs
I have received a lot of feedback on the subs that we wanted to look into further. I also have several emails out to the
various contacts that have not responded yet. I think Monday I will begin compiling the responses into a summary
email. Most of the feedback has been positive so far. Hopefully, they have a solid batch of subs this time, and things
will progress smoother than in previous jobs.
