Village Parkway Pump Station Additions
Gentlemen:
On January 21, 1997, while at the project site to witness the starting of the new pumps No. 5 & 6, Mr. Bill
Bigham brought to our attention that the new motor control centers on the elevated platform do not have floor
plates. He was concerned that a person may accidentally reach up into the MCC while working under the
platform. We agree with his concern.
Our review of the project plans and specifications finds that the MCC is to have a removable, gasketed floor
plate coated with 5 mils of bitnmastic. Refer to SC.43 Motor Control Centers, subsection D. Motor Control
Centers, paragraphs 2 & 3, page 5-63 of the specifications.
Please proceed with the work required to install removable panels as required by the project specifications. If
