I think the attention to cycling and pedestrian use is great, but there are a a couple of things that I would like to bring to your attention. - Please make sure that median signs/landscaping on cross street entrances does not obstruct cross-street drivers' view of pedestrians or cyclists. The median sign/landscaping at Denton Tap/E Bethel Rd accounts for 100% of the situations (~4) where I as a cyclist have had to take action to avoid a collision in the last year (I ride about 3000-4000 miles/year for recreation and about 800 for transportation). - Consider using an 8' wide sidewalk between Whispering Hills and Oak Trail or perhaps Denton Tap. The High School cross country team uses this segment for morning runs to Whispering hills and south. They will bunch up at the signal light there and a wider sidewalk might be beneficial since. Pedestrians and cyclists using going to Sprouts are more likely to cross at Whispering Hills than go to Denton Tap, cross and backtrack. - Consider placing lighting, storm drains, etc so that an east-bound left turn lane can be opened into the west entrance to Sprouts. I'm really excited about the changes, and the possibility that I may be able to talk my wife into riding her bike or walking to Sprouts, which is only about 1/4 mile from our house.
