JP No. 88009; Flood Plain Reclamation Study;
Denton Creek and Cottonwood Branch;
Parks of Coppell; Coppell, Texas
Dear Russell:
Thank you for your letter of March 28, 1989, which we received on
April 20, 1989, regarding the status of the FEMA review of the
Magnolia Park project. It is our understanding that a request
for a Final Letter of Map Revision is being processed by FEMA for
Magnolia Park. Our current request in the Parks of Coppell,
which was submitted to the City on February 21, 1989, is for a
Conditional Letter of Map Revision.
I understand that the issue of maintenance on the Magnolia Park
project is not resolved. However, please proceed with the City's
technical review of proposed reclamation in the Parks of Coppell
as presented in our report. Since our Denton Creek analysis
includes constructed projects in the area, we understand that
your technical review and approval are qualified pending outcome
of the Magnolia Park Project Map Revision request.
On behalf of ABQ Development Corporation, please expedite the
City review. Our client has authorized us to proceed with
preparation of construction plans for the extension of Parkway
Boulevard west of the High School Access Road, including the
Cottonwood Branch bridge. Roadway grades and the bridge opening
design, however, are largely based on flood plain hydraulics and
therefore our design efforts are restrained until conditional
FEMA and City of Coppell approval of the flood study are
received.
Please advise me if their is any further information required by
the City of Coppell needed to expedite your review. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Parche ' P E
